“Hi! I’m Mallika, a native Thai living in Finland and a founder of Mallikieli and Mallikieli Thai. I love learning different languages myself and I use those learning techniques to teach others. My language coaching skill started when I first taught English to my teen neighbor while I was still in high school in 2007. At that time, I didn’t realize that I would become a language coach today.

My life turned around when I came to Finland in 2015 to explore but ended up settling down here with my husband and our beautiful son. Right after moving to Finland, I began to study Finnish on my own. Over time I learned that it was such an uphill battle! I had tried and given up several times in three years. When my son was born, I was inspired to pass on my mother tongue to him and that inspiration ignited my passion for Thai language teaching. I started teaching Thai online for the first time in 2019. Right from the beginning, I felt like I had found my true passion, which is to become a Thai language coach!

Throughout my career of teaching since 2019, I have helped many half-Thais living abroad around the world to pick up on their mother tongue and those who have relationships with Thai families or those who have connections with Thailand. Sharing the Thai language and culture is part of my fulfillment and pride, however, the most rewarding moment is when my students have achieved their goals.”
